About

Professional Bio

My name is Gwendolyn Rehrig (pronouns: she/her), and I am a former academic. Because I no longer work in the academic sector, I am not available to review articles. Thank you for understanding.

In my most recent academic position, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Fernanda Ferreira in the Ferreira Lab at the University of California, Davis. I study language processing and vision-language interactions.

I completed my doctoral work in psycholinguistics at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, advised by Karin Stromswold, and I hold a certificate in cognitive science from the Rutgers University Center for Cognitive Science (RUCCS).

I started a podcast called Manuscripted to make publications more accessible. Using the podcast, I will gradually record and release audio-friendly versions of my published work, as well as host recordings of other scholars doing the same.

You can listen to Manuscripted on Apple Podcasts.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I play video games and tabletop games. Some of my favorite video games are The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Torchlight 2, and the Animal Crossing series. My favorite tabletop games include Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Gloomhaven, and Dungeons and Dragons (I play 5e).

I also enjoy singing and I play acoustic guitar. I tend to do them simultaneously, and sometimes it even sounds ok (though my neighbor might disagree).
